Screencast-O-Matic.Com- I created this artifact by using Screencast-o-matic.com. My rationale for creating this video was to be able to communicate with my school community on how to locate books, eBooks, and other online resources. This recording will enhance my students ability to access library material 24/7. Students will be engaged with all four C’s:Critical Thinking: by deciding where the books are located by using the call numbers; Communicating: by exchanging book lists with classmates;Collaborating: by sharing Book Reviews; Creativity by understanding and recognizing that call numbers are part of a universal system to help locate resources in the media center.
This tool will help advance students independence as they become more aware of abundance of library resources. Resources:https://www.eschoolnews.com/2014/01/17/four-cs-common-core/ |

Make Belief Comix- I chose this artifact because my first graders are able to use this powerful online app to summarize stories. This tool will allow students to create and share their projects with me and their classroom teacher. Ms. Campbell "library is so much fun" said one student!

Mind Mapping-I chose this artifact Mind mapping because I learned that this tool allows student to visualize their ideas and thoughts. I created my mind map by using Coggle app. I taught my fifth graders about mind mapping and I was extremely impressed: We could not access Coggle in the media center, so one of my fifth graders used the app from home in order to map out her research project. The bottom left image. Another, fifth grader created his mind map by using the "Shape" and “ Line” functions on Windows. The top right image. Learning was enhanced by keeping the students focus on the details for their research project.

TPACK- I chose this artifact because of the TPACK Framework. I learned that TPACK combines three knowledge areas: Technological, Content and Pedagogical. I am now using TPACK to increase and connect all three knowledge areas in the library. But, most importantly, providing good instruction for all student. Learning was enhanced because my students used tools they were comfortable with; for example, one student is listening to a story on Pebble-Go, and two students are reading an eBook. My last student is reading a printed book, and he is using a pencil for note taking. The TPACK Framework, allows me to find the "Sweet Spot" in most library lessons.

Twitter Account: My LMC's twitter account was not very active before this class. I have decided to tweet out at least twice a week from the media center. My rationale for increasing the activities on my LMC twitter account, will allow me to promote the learning that is taking place in the media center; Interact with the school community in real time; Parents can connect with the ongoing events in the media center; collaborate with others in library land. Finally, I can promote what my students are learning in the media center. I am striving to be a 21st century librarian, I will have to "integrate digital technologies" and creative ides into my everyday teaching.

O.E.R -I used Open Education Resources to redesign a library lesson. I was able to revise my Ezra Jack Keat's lesson for kindergartners. The lesson was enhanced because my students worked with a partner to redesign the front cover of a book; The book was called Pets by Ezra Jack Keats. This tool will allow me to have access to high-quality material, which have open licenses.

Creativity-Creativity: I chose this artifact because of Creativity. My library helpers noticed that the kindergartens were bumping into two tables during book check-in. The two library helpers said, Ms. Campbell, "may we redesign the media center" and I said go for It. My students are fully aware no furniture is to be moved in the library: I learned a creativity lesson, silly me!
These students basically turned two tables horizontally instead of vertically, and this move open up the media center. The rational for this artifact is that my student have the "confident to problem solve" and to express their ideas confidently to an adult. Creativity can take place in the library, as well!

BLOG- I chose this artifacts because of my Blog page; I created my blog page by utilizing the site Weebly. My rationale for this artifact- blog, is to bring awareness and to showcase the events in the media center. I have enhanced my own learning, because now I want to independently maintain my blog on the school’s website, and I will no longer depend on the webmaster of the school.
